Ellyn Amador, Architect specializes in residential remodels and additions in the Dallas area. A registered Texas architect and member of the AIA with over 20 years of experience in design and construction, Ellyn holds a B.Arch from Rice University and an M.Arch from the University of California at Berkeley. Ellyn has a true passion for creating well-designed family homes. Her firm provides a full range of services from architectural design and construction documents through material and finish selection and construction observation.
Rachel Helms, Designer specializes in architectural materials, fixtures, and finishes selection. She ensures that each project's color and material palette reflects Ellyn's architectural vision, as well the client's lifestyle, taste, and budget. She is also available for furniture and home decor selections. Rachel holds a Bachelor's degree in Architectural History from the University of Virginia and a Master's degree in Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin.
Laura Helms, Architectural Associate assists Ellyn in construction documents and client deliverables. She specializes in various drafting and 3D modeling programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, and SketchUp. Laura holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Design at Texas A&M University.

FEES
Our current rate is $130 an hour for Ellyn Amador and $95 an hour for Rachel Helms. Additional rates available upon request. Monthly bills reflect time spent on the project the previous month. Total fees over the various stages of the project typically range from 5% to 7% of the total cost of construction, depending on the level of service our clients request and the project's scale and scope.
*During initial consultations, we listen carefully to your needs and desires, evaluate your home, review your program requirements, and provide creative ideas. Initial consultations typically take 2 1/2 hours. Both Ellyn and Rachel attend. Our current fee for initial consultations is $500. Please call or email for additional information.
